Position: Academic Coordinator
Reports to: Head of Academic (HOA)
Key Responsibilities:
l Professional Development (PD) Training:
1. Plan, organize, and deliver PD training sessions for teaching staff to ensure continuous professional growth.
2. Identify training needs and provide workshops, seminars, and resources to enhance teaching practices.
3. Collaborate with the HOA to develop training schedules and monitor the effectiveness of PD programs.
l Teaching Quality Assurance:
1. Assist the HOA in conducting regular lesson observations to ensure high teaching standards.
2. Provide constructive feedback to teachers, supporting their professional development.
3. Help maintain consistency in lesson delivery and curriculum implementation across all subjects.
l Teaching Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a reduced teaching load of no more than 15 periods per week (English/ Creative Writing/ Drama/ Music)
l Curriculum Support and Coordination:
1. Support curriculum development and ensure alignment with the school’s academic goals and international standards.
2. Assist in the organization of academic events, such as inter-school competitions, debates, and student presentations.
3. Collaborate with subject heads and other coordinators to ensure an integrated and cohesive learning experience for students.
l Student Support and Engagement:
1. Monitor student progress and provide academic support where necessary.
2. Assist in developing intervention plans for students struggling academically.
3. Promote student engagement in extracurricular academic activities, including drama, music, and public speaking events.
l Communication and Collaboration:
1. Act as a liaison between teaching staff and the administration for academic matters.
2. Facilitate communication regarding curriculum changes, assessment policies, and instructional strategies.
l Marketing Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to position the school’s brand .
2. Ensure that the school’s admissions, branding, and marketing strategies align with the overall development goals.
3. Oversee and guide the school’s promotional activities, advertising, and social media presence to increase global brand awareness.
l Admissions & Promotion:
1. Collaborate with the admissions team to develop and refine recruitment plans to attract more students.
2. Analyze market trends and competitors to adjust recruitment strategies accordingly.
3. Organize school open days, fairs, and international student recruitment activities.
4. Design and oversee external communication content to ensure consistency with the school’s brand.
l Organizational Structure Development Responsibilities:
5. Assist the HoA and the management team in designing the overall organizational structure of the school to ensure it adapts to changing educational and market demands.
6. Develop efficient management processes and systems to promote interdepartmental collaboration and communication.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Master’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Experience with curriculum development and teacher training.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
